Deep Learning in Radiotherapy

Announcement:
Educational Workshop Deep Learning in Radiotherapy 2024
Thursday 25 January
Department of Radiotherapy, UMC Utrecht, The Netherlands

Dear colleagues,

A 1-day educational workshop on Deep learning for Radiotherapy will be organized in Utrecht, at the department of Radiotherapy of the University Medical Center. This workshop is aimed at medical physicists in the field of Radiotherapy (but not restricted to those interested working in different fields). We start with introducing the principles of both machine and deep learning. Later we will dive into applications of deep learning in radiotherapy. Image synthesis, auto contouring, treatment planning, and image registration & contour propagation will be discussed, highlighting the latest contributions of deep learning. Also, the challenges of clinically implementing deep learning will be treated from the perspective of a clincal computer scientist. Please note the program is not yet finalized, please have a look at the previous workshops to get an impression.

All presentations will be in English. Accreditation at NVKF will be arranged.

Announcement:
Scientific Day Deep Learning in Radiotherapy 2024
Friday 26 January
Department of Radiotherapy, UMC Utrecht, The Netherlands

Dear colleagues,

On Friday 26 January we will organise the second scientific symposium of the Radiotherapy Expert group initiative. The goal of this initiative is to offer a platform to researchers and clinical physicists who are researching or using deep learning applications in radiotherapy. The DLinRT platforms aim to promote scientific exchange as well as the clinical use of deep learning in radiotherapy in The Netherlands. Four strategic themes have been identified and 4 expert groups have been defined on these topics. These topics are • Image Synthesis • Contouring & Registration • Radiomics and • clinical implementation. The expert groups will give exciting presentations on the four themes. The symposium is endorsed and sponsored by the Dutch association of Clinical Physics (www.nvkf.nl) This event is open for persons from the field of clinical physics & radiotherapy, whether this is from academia, hospitals, industry or policy makers.
