Deep learning in Radiotherapy

Webinar Deep Learning in Radiotherapy 2022
(both mornings of) Thursday 24 and Friday 25 March, 2022
Department of Radiotherapy, UMC Utrecht, The Netherlands

Dear interested,

On Thursday 24 and Friday March 25, two half-day workshops on deep learning in radiotherapy will be organized by the Department of Radiotherapy of the University Medical Center Utrecht. These workshops are aimed at medical physicists and doctors in the field of radiotherapy (as to those interested in working in different fields). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the workshops will be given online in the form of webinars and are free of charge.

On the first day, we will introduce the principles of both machine and deep learning, and will then focus on two aspects: image reconstruction and uncertainty determination.

On Friday, we will dive into applications of deep learning in radiotherapy. Image synthesis, auto contouring, treatment planning, and image registration & contour propagation will be discussed, highlighting the latest contributions of deep learning. Also, the challenges of clinically implementing deep learning will be treated from the perspective of a clincal computer scientist.

For a detailed schedule please refer to the program. All presentations will be in English.

Accreditation of the Dutch Society of Medical Physic (NVKF) will be arranged.

We hope to meet you online! Kind regards from the organizers:

Nico van den Berg, Mark Savenije and Matteo Maspero
